While there's a Central Jersey Regional Airport in Hillsborough, travelers from greater distances will use Newark Liberty International Airport, which is less than 25 miles from New Brunswick. For inter-city travel, Coach USA offers coach service with daily trips to and from New York City and Philadelphia. Amtrak provides long-distance rail service with its Northeast Regional, Vermonter, and Keystone lines. Our area is served by the Raritan Valley, North Jersey Coastline, and Northeast Corridor rail lines and bus routes 810–819. The buses serve each of the county's townships. If needed, "Keep Middlesex Moving" has shuttles to transport commuters to bus and train stops, and the NJDOT provides senior and disabled bus service.
