Middlesex County Museum / Cornelius Low House 1225 River Road Piscataway, NJ 08854 732-745-4177 The Cornelius Low House was built in 1741 by a prominent merchant, Cornelius Low. The house sits on a bluff overlooking what was the Colonial port community of Raritan Landing. The house was purchased by the County of Middlesex in 1979 from the last of 5 private families to own it since it was built. It remains today as it stood then and is one of two remaining structures from that commmunity.
