Rutgers Day - Guests on Rutgers Day enjoy free performances, tours, exhibits, hands-on activities, lectures, demonstrations, and more. Rutgers Day expands the long-standing success of Ag Field Day and the NJ Folk Festival to encompass all Rutgers University campuses across New Brunswick and Piscataway. June:

July:
Middlebrook Encampment - 4th of July. Site of two encampments of major portions of Washington's Continental Army. Ceremony at 10:30 am consisting of Changing of the 13-star Flag and Historical Address. For more info call 732-356-2692.

QuikChek NJ Festival of Ballooning at Solberg Airport - As many as 125 colorful hot air balloons make ascensions into the air twice a day to three headline concerts. The day also holds world class children's entertainment, hundreds of arts and crafters, food vendors from around the world, twice daily old time brainstorming air shows, amusement rides, fireworks, balloon glows, and more! 4th of July Fireworks - Every Independence Day numerous cities in Central Jersey host firework displays and celebrations among those being East Brunswick, Piscataway, and Perth Amboy.

August:
County 4-H Fair - A free, 3-day event at the Fiargrounds in North Branch Park in Bridgewater. Animals, competitions, arts and crafts, exhibits, and entertainment. For more information call 908-526-6644.

Middlesex County Fair - Includes food, games, rides, and much more! The fair also features tents staffed with businesses and organizations from around the region.
