Strategic Initiatives
2006-2009

Vision

The CVB will be the front door of central New Jersey for all visitors,Convention participants and residents to discover and utilize regional attractions and visitor services, resources, and amenities.

The Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) will pursue six strategic initiatives as a planning guide for its initial three-year development.

1. Grow the organization into a fully professional Convention and Visitor services Bureau that is sufficiently staffed to design, develop, manage and shepherd CVB activities and programs.

2. Develop a Board of Trustees with the appropriate decision-makers who arerepresentational of all sectors (commercial and non-profit) in the region.

3. Establish an ubiquitous Visitors Services Program/Center.

4. Nurture programs that aid our targeted visitor and convention markets to be fullyinformed about area attractions, visitor service resources, and amenities.

5. Develop and grow a stable funding base that will support CVB programs for long  term operations and growth.

6. Develop and implement a marketing program that sequentially develops targeted convention and visitor service markets, one by one, rather than taking a broad “shotgun” approach.
